The Thames & Kosmos Gumball Machine Maker is a unique toy that teaches physics in a fun way. The gumballs that fit into the machine are slightly smaller than a dime. Other spherical candy that is a little smaller than a dime can also be used. The built gumball machine stands at 17 inches tall and it could work with marbles. However, the user should beware that some tricks just won't work well with the weight of the marbles. The gumballs provided with the machine are not Kosher certified and contain soy. The product concept is well thought out, but the machine is too fragile with too many small and fragile pieces. The instructions were also difficult to follow for some children. Customers either loved or hated the Thames & Kosmos Gumball Machine Maker toy.
