Overall, the Red Wing Blacksmith boots have satisfied customers' needs and are comfortable after the break-in process. The boots are versatile and can be worn for work or dressed up. The Briar leather used for the boots is shiny and unique. Some customers have issues with the tight midsole, making it difficult to put on the boots. Some customers have received boots with scuffs and scratches, but these items respond well to conditioning and are not a manufacturing defect.
