Paramount Home Video DVD Movies Editorial Review
Orphan: First Kill is the prequel to the 2009 movie Orphan, which tells the story of a couple who adopt a young girl, only to discover she's not as innocent as she seems. In this prequel, we're introduced to the character of Esther as a young girl, living in an orphanage in Estonia. This movie is a disturbing look at how Esther became the manipulative and calculating evil that we see in the original film. The acting in this movie is top-notch, and the direction is solid. The story is gripping, and the tension is palpable throughout. If you're a fan of the original Orphan, then you'll definitely want to check out this prequel.
