Direct dyes like bright pinks, blues, greens, lavenders, purples, etc., or color depositing conditioners are not affected by this product. It takes some time and effort to remove the dye completely. It's recommended that those with long hair buy two boxes to avoid running out in the middle of application, and it's important to fully saturate the hair. Some other safe at-home methods that can be tried to remove the dye are straight dawn dishwashing liquid, clarifying or dandruff shampoo, and crushed vitamin C tablets. It can be harmful to hair if not used correctly or if done too often after dyeing the hair. Developlus Color Oops Color Remover Extra Strength does not work on Henna, and it can not perform on direct color dyes. One would need to seek professional help for using Loreal Effesol or Joico Color Eraser that might work but could be damaging. Matrix Brass Off is used to brighten the hair conditions when the hair has become yellow.
