The Elegoo Uno R3 basic starter kit is an affordable and suitable kit for beginners to experiment with various electronic projects using the Uno controller CPU board. The kit has many varying parts enabling an individual to first test their projects on a prototype board before moving it to a fixed board. The kit works the same as a genuine Arduino and can work without a computer. The kit is said to be great for learning the basics of the Arduino, but a bigger kit would be more suitable for those who can level up fast to multiple and more complex projects. The kit comes with a vast library of free projects to help one get started with the programming. One issue reported in a review was difficulty reading the resistor colour bands, whereas the breadboard connectors on some kits were looser than others. The documentation also suffers from being written by non-native English speakers.
