The mount opens up to 180 degrees making it versatile to use, but it's important to note that the 45 lb thrust model is not recommended for brackish water. The installation process is easy to follow, but the motor can be a little heavy, making it difficult to deploy and return to its storage position. It's a fair value for the money and works best on smaller boats. Unfortunately, there are some issues with quality control, including missing parts upon delivery, and breakage within a few months of use.
