There were some negative comments about the train engine not staying on the track, being far inferior to the Hape blue automatic train, crawling at a snail's pace, and not working at all. However, positive feedback indicates that it creeps along hills, can pull three additional train cars, and the child owners enjoy it. Some potential design flaws are that it is too wide to go through Brio tunnels and the front wheels do not turn enough when using a y piece of track to move off the main track. Although relatively expensive, it is designed by Brio, which is a Swedish company.
