The Studio Series SL300 USB Condenser Microphone is a great option for its price. It has a cardioid pattern and an analog-to-digital converter. The microphone comes with switches to cut 10 dB level and bass. However, the low cut can make the voice sound tinny and allowing all lows can result in a tubby sound. The microphone has excellent noise rejection and captures a slightly warm sound. It is a unidirectional microphone that works well for vocals, piano, and violin, but a ribbon microphone may be better for these instruments. The microphone comes with a hard case and shock mount. The -10 db option can be used for operatic vocals. The only problem is sometimes it records a slight electronic hum. The seller charges an additional amount for shipping for US buyers and delivers DHL customs duty invoice of extra $18.73.
