DVD FN-09473 Editorial Review
** One Piece - Collection Five** One Piece Collection Five marks a significant point in the long-running adventure of the Straw Hat Pirates, as they confront the nefarious Crocodile in the desert kingdom of Alabasta. Drawing viewers into a high-stakes battle for loyalty, justice, and friendship, this collection of episodes from 104 to 130 showcases an evolution in storytelling and character development that has captivated audiences for years. Readers who were initially skeptical of the series often find themselves entranced by the unfolding narratives, especially as the thrilling arc intensifies, leading to powerful individual character moments. The action in this collection is brilliantly paced, weaving between moments of suspense and emotion. Each character is given their chance to shine, with episodes highlighting poignant backstories and surprising developments, particularly with the introduction of Nico Robin as the newest crew member. Surprise twists and inventive plot resolutions add to the viewing experience, making it hard to look away. Furthermore, fans commend the depth and complexity of both the storyline and characters, attributing much of the show's success to Eiichiro Oda's masterful storytelling. Despite the shift from shorter arcs to a more extensive single narrative in this collection, viewers appreciate the character-centric episodes and clever dialogue which reward loyal fans. The mixture of humor, adventure, and heartfelt moments, particularly during intense battles, reinforces the emotional ties audiences have formed with the characters over time. Ultimately, new viewers are encouraged to push past initial reluctance, as those who Dive into the One Piece universe often find it offers an unparalleled experience. Collection Five stabilizes the framework for future narratives, as it's clear that the journey of the Straw Hat crew is far from over. **
