Lionel Control & Power Supplies 614111 Editorial Review
The 153 IR Controller has garnered a mixed reception among customers, highlighting both its strengths and shortcomings. Many users appreciate the straightforward installation and functionality, noting that it effectively activates accessories as trains pass by. A significant number of reviewers have found it to be reliable and efficient, praising its simplicity and ease of connection. However, this positive feedback is marred by quality control concerns, with several users experiencing inConsistent performance. Some controllers have functioned perfectly, while others have been temperamental—sometimes triggering gates incorrectly or malfunctioning entirely. This inConsistency has left some users frustrated, particularly those who had higher expectations based on the product's premium price point. For those using the controller in more casual, less frequent settings, the device may still be a reasonable addition, despite its quirks. Overall, while the 153 IR Controller performs well for some, its reliability issues make it a gamble for others, leading to a cautious recommendation. **
